What We Provide

Vallarta Cares is a humanitarian organization dedicated to bringing food, clean water, and dignity to those in need throughout Puerto Vallarta and its surrounding areas. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of hundreds of volunteers, we have been able to make a meaningful impact in our community. Through the Vallarta Food Bank, we provide over 10,000 hot meals each month and extend our support to thousands more through the partner charities we work with.

Vallarta Cares is a legally recognized non-profit organization...

...in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, operating under the official name “Alacena por Amor a Vallarta.” Since our official registration on September 3, 2021, at Notary No. 3, we have remained dedicated to improving the quality of life for our community through impactful programs and initiatives.

In July 2022, we took an important step toward greater transparency and accountability by registering with the federal registry of civil society associations (CLUNI AAV21090914OMG). This recognition underscores our commitment to responsible and ethical operations, ensuring that every donation and resource is used effectively to serve those in need.

Our commitment to integrity and service was further solidified on November 2, 2023, when we were granted Donataria Autorizada status by the Ministry of Finance. This prestigious designation allows us to issue tax-deductible receipts to our donors in Mexico, providing an added incentive for continued support while reinforcing our financial accountability.

How much of my donation will go toward programs?

Vallarta Cares is a not-for-profit charity. 100% of your donations go to the charity to keep serving the residents of Puerto Vallarta.

How do I volunteer for a specific emergency?

You can choose how you would like to volunteer with us. It can be a weekly slot or just a one-off. It's entirely up to you how much or how little you want to help out.
